Ever wondered how a simple idea can turn into something powerful? BreachMap started, like many good things, with a question:
“Why don’t people see cybersecurity risks the way they see weather alerts or traffic updates?”
We check our weather apps before we leave the house. We get traffic notifications before we hit the road. But when it comes to cybersecurity – even though it affects every business and individual online – the information is often too distant, too technical, or too abstract to be useful.
That didn’t sit right with me.
So I set out to change it.

Most cybersecurity tools focus on the big picture – global trends, international threat actors, major corporations. That’s important, but it doesn’t always feel real to the average user or small business.
I wanted to flip the script.
